This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Most of my students have limited financial resources to provide them with their basic fundamental needs. Many are raised in single parent homes, where money is often limited. The majority of our students are minority and receive free/reduced meals. But these restrictions do not keep my students from wanting to be successful. They come to school eager to learn and explore!
With the current economy, our school is also suffering from a tighter budget that limits our resources.
With higher rigor that our curriculum encompasses, students need to be actively engaged! In order for this to happen, I need to have enough materials for all my students.
My Project
The Chromebooks I am requesting will benefit my students in so many ways! Right now students must share their Chromebook. Since my students work at various levels, the ones who need a little extra time to finish a math lesson, do not get to finish because he/she must give the computer to the next student to use. If they did not have to share, they could take the few extra minutes to finish a lesson or do an enrichment activity to enforce a concept.
By donating to this class, you will help students feel success!
My students are already at a disadvantage because of their economic status, please help them to be successful in school, so that they can break the cycle of poverty and achieve their goals for the future!
