Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a Title I elementary school in a less desirable part of the neighborhood. What these third grade students are lacking in the pleasurable things of life, they make up for with desire and the will to improve.
Although these students do not experience many of the finer things of life, they want to learn.
With that said, the majority of these students work hard to be a better part of the community. They want to improve their lives and know knowledge is the way.
My Project
My third grade students are eager to learn but also bring a vast amount of very nasty germs with them. If we could get some hand sanitizer, tissues and Clorox wipes we could take the battle of cold and flu germ "wipe out" to the next level. Things that come from runny noses would have a tissue to be disposed of in and some sanitize to finish any lingering nasty germs. Shirts would stay clean and fingers out of mouths. This would help put the yucky problems associated with the cold and flu and those horrible germs to rest. Thus exposing as few of our fellow learners to those gross green germs as possible and back to the never ending battle of learning and improving lives.
