The reward of working with student-athletes who are disciplined not only in the classroom but on the field is inspiring. These young ladies are not only exemplary students but awesome athletes. They have an overall average of 94.1.
As a teacher, it is exhilarating to witness teenagers pull together as a team in the face of adversity while showing grit, determination, and courage.
Students who are dedicated to their studies, as well as athletics, build a strong foundation for life. They become good colleagues as well as family members. We are instilling values in these young ladies that will follow them through life.
These student-athletes will get the chance to experience the beautiful Smokey Mountains while playing softball. They will also visit colleges in that region, broadening their horizons and experiencing what life is like in a different part of the country. We will travel from NYC via a bus to the Smokey Mountains of beautiful Tennessee. While we are there, we will not only play softball against some great competition with over 90 teams registered for this spring break experience, but we will also attend an SEC college softball game and visit two colleges.
During this time we will be committed to team bonding and building a strong foundation for future endeavors we will face together.
We will stay in a seven-bedroom cabin, prepare meals together, and spend some time doing team-building activities. We will also get the chance to see the US Softball Olympic team who are also playing at the University of Tennessee. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for these young ladies. They are hard-working and deserve to have an opportunity like this.
