My Students

Many parts of our day our either repetitive and use the same papers over and over, or we are showing everyone the great thinking we can do on our own. My students just need that extra help covering their work and saving trees!

My students are amazing!

They are 6-8 years old, half boys and half girls. Most of my students come from a very low income home and do not even know if they will be able to eat dinner that night when they go home. However, they do not hold a grudge. They still walk in with a smile on their face, happy to be at school with the people they know are constant in their lives.

My Project

These resources will help my children be encouraged to do their own thinking and show me what they know. So many times they are tempted to look off their partners paper just to get done so they can go read. However, I need to know what they know so I can help them in their struggling areas. The reusable pockets will help us save trees and influence a perfect conversation about recycling.

Please help my students show me what they've got!

They are so smart but just need that extra encouragement to do it on their own. By the end of first grade, we are going to have high self esteems and ready to go on to second grade!
