Help me give my students an opportunity to think like scientists and engineers while learning about current science issues and discoveries as they read through the pages of a Science World Magazine.

My students inspire me daily as they come to school on time, prepared and eager to learn. Despite their low income and under served community status, they arrived every day ready to accept the next academic challenge. They respond very well to different forms of literature. The one area where they need to improve upon is printed text in magazines. It is my mission to restore their reading skills using printed text.
"The best advice I ever got was that knowledge is power and to keep reading." ---David Bailey.
My students are very much conversationalists. They like to talk about current events and new discoveries in science. Their mindset is not just about concern for their community, they look beyond their neighborhoods to global issues, and solutions to scientific issues. Their favorite quote is; "Recycle. The possibilities are endless." -- anonymous and have shared with me the need to recycle any magazines we get.
Science World Magazines will expose my students to global environmental issues and possible solutions. They will read about current relevant discoveries and use their science and engineering skills to discuss what they have read. Science World Magazines are especially effective with getting my Diverse Learners excited about science. They respond well to the Core Question, the colors, and the articles inside.
"The art and science of asking questions is the source of all knowledge." --Thomas Berger.
Science World Magazine's articles provoke discussions, questions, and strengthens existing skills and open pathways for emerging skills. My students deserve high quality resources to maximize the academic success, Science World is that very high quality resource!
