My Students
Have you heard the saying, "Feed the brain and save the child?" Well, the BackPack Buddies program feeds needy students. As a member of a close-knit community, the BackPack Buddies program at the elementary school is a project that has been taken on by the BETA at the junior-senior high school. Due to Hurricane Florence, our need is greater than normal and our love for mankind has increased.
The BackPack Buddies initiative provides nutritious foods and a grade level book to low-income households.
We want to promote giving from the heart in the Intensive Needs classroom and being involved with community service projects instill core values.
My Project
We are passionate about helping students in need and what a better way than the Backpack Buddies program. Our small school is in a rural community but we have huge amounts of love. Seeing happy smiling kids mean the world to us. Our students are dedicated and excited about helping fellow students in need. The snacks and a reading book will be distributed to the delegate in charge of the BackPack Buddies program.
Donating non-perishable food and a good book is a small way of saying we care about your struggle.
Each BackPack Buddies bag contain food and a grade level book for an at-risk elementary student without compromising his/her dignity.
