Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am not sure how to sum up how amazing my students are, they inspire me on a daily basis, and I hope you will be inspired after reading a little bit about them.
I teach at a Title I school, full of hardworking students who do not let their circumstances define them or stop them from achieving their dreams.
Despite having their unique personal struggles at home, my students come in every morning ready to tackle the academic challenges of the day. It is amazing to see, how in their own little way, they spread positive energy around them. I can say with confidence that my students will achieve great things in the future, and I want to fully prepare them for that. I am helping shape my students into life-long learners with international mindedness. I want to keep their hunger for learning alive. These students are amazing, and by amazing I mean, resilient, open-minded, and kind. I am positive that my students will be our future leaders of tomorrow!
My Project
I am passionate about innovative educational practices. It is my goal to remain proactive in educational research to improve my classroom abilities and to increase my students' achievement in all aspects of their lives. As a teacher, I want to truly encourage a love of learning in my students and inspire them to become life-long learners. The only way I can do that is by continuing my journey as a life-long learner. I have learned so much from the teacher community on Instagram, many of whom got their inspiration from attending GYTO conferences. I can't imagine all the effective methods, skills, and best teaching practices I can walk away with from attending this event. I hope to take back research-based methods to the classroom to better my teaching and to give my students the best education possible. I appreciate your help and support to make this dream come true!
