Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I love teaching my students in third grade! I teach in a Title I school and 100% of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Students come to school each day excited to learn!

Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best.

I believe it is my responsibility to give students a comfortable, collaborative learning environment where they can learn to the best of their ability. Students have limited supplies and books at home, so students are enthusiastic about receiving new supplies and materials! "All kids need is a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them." M.J.

My Project

In my classroom, students use composition books and pencils daily. They need composition books for the upcoming school year. Each student needs a composition book for each subject. This helps keep their note-taking organized in a journal, instead of on loose sheets of paper that can be easily lost or torn. Students also need good quality pencils during the year that they can rely on to work, without constantly breaking.

The supplies I selected will not only help students with assignments in every subject area, but will minimize the distractions for an effective learning environment!

These students are excited about learning and they deserve to come to a class that is supplied with materials that support learning. Thank you for thinking of my students and helping provide for these basic materials.
