Young Scientists Learning About Habitats

My students need 8 items including butterflies, a bug habitat, a Scientific Classification Center, and Animal Habitats Photo Book Series.

Grades PreK-2

I teach a first grade gifted and talented class in a low income neighborhood. My students truly love to learn and they especially love science!

We have very few science supplies or resources, especially for our youngest learners. This is unfortunate because they truly love science. I am often forced to read and talk about science when I know that my students would benefit from a more hands on approach.

I am requesting a variety of interactive and hands on resources to supplement our science unit on habitats. The resources include games to reinforce their learning and actual butterfly and bug habitats that we can create in the classroom.

Your help will bring such joy to my students. They love science already through books. Can you imagine the joy they will feel creating the butterfly habitat and seeing a caterpillar turn into a butterfly. These resources will really give them such an opportunity to create and observe science in action. My students are so smart and dedicated. They would benefit so much from these resources.
