My Students

My students are doing amazing research and writing projects but desperately need a wireless printer to publish their work. Enthusiasm will wane for any writer if no one is able to read your work for weeks while you wait for it to be printed.

These wonderful children are third grade students at a school in the Oakland Unified School District.

They are a diverse group of learners whose academic and social needs are vast but who all have a passion for knowledge and dreams for their future.

My Project

A new printer will vastly improve my students' communication skills which will allow my students to share their published work with the class, school community, and their families. These opportunities to share their work will increase enthusiasm and motivate the students to work harder at becoming good writers. Helping students improve their communication skills is tremendously important for their ongoing success as students and future citizens.

Developing strong writing and communication skills is essential to becoming a strong student.

As the need for, and use of, computers increase in in our schools and world, it is imperative that we as teachers have the necessary equipment to fully support the students' growth. We desperately need a printer to be able to have our students have the opportunity to publish their writing to share.
