Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a diverse and inclusive first grade classroom in Chicago.
My classroom is made of 23 enthusiastic young learners who ask many questions!
We are learning how to be independent and responsible for our learning. Throughout this year I hope to have engaging posters and visual aids to answer some of the questions my students might have. Statistics show that we learn in normal day-to-day living as follows: 3% through taste, 3% through smell, 6% through touch, 13% through hearing, and a whopping 75% through seeing!
My Project
I am hoping to get large post-it notes and markers for daily classroom use!
I will create engaging anchor charts for my young students as we are learning to refer back to as often as they need.
These charts will really benefit some of the visual learners in the class, or those who still have questions about procedures and concepts. First graders can refer back to these posters as often as they need. I hope to creatively display these all year for students to see how much we have learned in our time spent together! Thank you for helping to make my students' learning "stick"!
