Our students are highly energetic and love to learn! We are in a high performing STEAM public school, so finding new ways to engage our students and push them to strive to be their best is a critical component of our day to day experience. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in college and beyond as they go out into the world to become the leaders of tomorrow.
We love to use technology, collaborate, debate, discuss, and explore new ideas.
They love to learn the real stories behind our nation's history so they can see how it connects to their own lives, so I am always looking for new ways to make that happen for them!
My Project
Four of my incredible students have qualified to bring their research projects to National History Day at the University of Maryland! They won the New Orleans Regional Competition and placed second in the Louisiana History Day competition last weekend! We are all so excited for them and this incredible opportunity!
Because my students will be traveling across the country to compete in National History Day, raising this money to cover their competition registration fee will help to make sure they can all compete!
The first project is an exhibit that explores the significance of the Manhattan Project from an artistic perspective. The second project comes from a group of three students who built a website exploring the protest tactics and racial divisions within the women's suffrage. These kids are amazing and deserve to be able to compete with the best of the best!
