Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 20 Spanish speakers students ready to overcome any challenge, including had been severely affected by Harvey. They want to prove that with just a little support, their ability to learn is amazing.
My students are always eager to be present in school and full of joy to learn.
For many of them after Hurricane Harvey, basic needs and emotional stress has been present. I would like to make school experience as fun and successful as possible by fulfilling so of those needs.
My Project
Winter season is getting closer and my students are still struggling for clothing needs.
After losing everything because of Hurricane Harvey, my students are still in need of some School Uniforms and College light jackets that are permitted according to our school dress code.
Our school uniform includes khaki bottoms and College shirts or polo collar tops.
Many of my students got used clothing donations last year, but they were either to big or small for them.
My students will not only by in compliance with the school dress code, but also will feel comfortable and proud to dress with the perfect fit for their size.
