Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

For 140 ACE Tech chemistry students, understanding and applying chemistry requires computational training. Moreover, in a time of technological advancement, students must be simultaneously trained to work with scientific theory and technology to perform advanced calculations and chemical applications that depend on software programs and media equipment experience. However, highly motivated ACE Tech students are currently unable to complete advanced science problems because of limited resources such as calculators. In addition, without scientific calculators, many students are unable to perform or pursue higher level calculations. Nevertheless, as the ACE Tech Chemistry teacher, my goal is still to foster higher learning and coach students to pursue more difficult problems to master standard objectives. For this reason, I am requesting a class set of scientific calculators to initiate computational training so that students will be able to continue to learn great science and build upon their skills to later pursue more advanced technological training.
