Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember your favorite book? Many times, favorites are traditional folktales that we heard over and over again.
My students are enthusiastic first graders who love to read.
They also really enjoy reading those classic folktales. This is one reason why a few years ago I decided to include a folktales writing assignment to my curriculum. The students love it, and it is a memorable assignment for all.
My Project
I am requesting different versions of The Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks, and The Gingerbread Man. I have a few of these books in my class that I use to motivate students when they write their own version of a classic folktale. These will definitely help get their ideas flowing.
Your generosity in helping provide these books for my students will definitely be a helpful tool to inspiring their stories.
