I am a public elementary school Visual Arts teacher and teach grades K-5. I teach in a low-income/high poverty school district, where many students are on free/reduced-price lunch. My students face several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite these challenges, I continue to provide creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My students are ready to create!
I would like to provide my students with a variety of projects which allows them to be as creative as possible. I look forward to them being able to explore many different types of art mediums.
My Project
I am an art teacher that gets to see my students once a week for less than an hour. During this time, I try my best to provide them with a variety of art mediums for creating fantastic art projects. Students enjoy visiting the art room and getting to use these hands-on mediums to draw, color, collage, paint and much more. At the end of each school year, student artwork is placed on display at a community art show. Students take pride in having the artwork they created on display for their families, classmates and teachers to view.
We can’t wait to see what we can create this year!
