My students need art supplies to continue their discovery of color and light. We are exploring impressionism and would like to have real canvas boards and real watercolor pencils to experiment with.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our art classroom is filled with Oakland's eager young artists and makers who are excited and motivated for any and all art they can dive their hands into. Students celebrate our rich diversity through the arts and are proud to be a part of Oakland's Fruitvale District. Our school makes a positive difference through arts integration in the lives of young people, we offer engaging and rigorous instruction and build strong relationships between parents, teachers/staff, students and community. We are dedicated to developing leaders and mentors who create a more compassionate, equitable and just society.
My Project
We are asking for art supplies to will help create long lasting paintings with real canvas boards, acrylics and watercolors. These materials will help engage our students and allow them to explore their interests in visual arts.
These art materials will help students reach their creative potential by gaining access and experience using good quality art supplies.
Our young artists are eager to experiment with new mediums and materials. We are beginning a journey into color and light through Impressionism.
Your generous donations will help guide and give much needed access to these tools so these young artists can be shown the masters of the past. Thank you for your support.
