Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are 4 year olds who come to school ready to start building the foundations of their learning. I have a morning and afternoon session which means I teach 40 students with different interests and abilities. They are eager to explore and learn in many different ways even though many of them don't speak English.
The students make every minute count and they are becoming life long learners on the road to reaching their dreams.
Their school day is only 3 hours so they need to get the most of every learning experience I can offer them.
My Project
Painting is a staple of every Pre-K classroom. Our classroom needs an art easel that will serve different purposes.
The Lakeshore Space Saver Mobile Art Center answers that need!
It will allow children to paint and put their creations right on the drying rack underneath so their precious work can dry. It also has a white board so they can read and write messages on during other parts of the day.
The dot painters and sensory point will provide different mediums for the students to use when they paint. This way they will develop their creativity along with their fine motor skills.
