My Students

I have a fantastic class of 24 students at an urban Title I elementary school. My students come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, each of them contributing to a fantastic, colorful class.

Let me tell you about my students.

Half of my students are ELL (English Language Learner) students. Several students are refugees from war-torn countries. Many of my students come from a one-parent family. And nearly all of the families of my students struggle to afford the daily needs of food, clothing, and a warm, safe place to live. Several of our children are living in shelters.

We would appreciate your help with classroom items that would help us with technology, math, writing, Language Arts, English Language Learning, Science, Class Projects and more!

My Project

Apple iPads in our classrooms will be used to record photos and videos of classroom projects we are doing and showcase these on our Family Enrichment Night.

Our students will use iPads to enhance Language Arts and Math Lessons.

ELL students will be able to use apps to help them improve their English Learning.

Students can send a photo of their activities using the iPad to their teacher during small group time. The teacher can keep track of student work and accomplishments while working with another group of children in Reading or Math Intervention.

Technology in our class will help us in so many ways!
