My students need activities and games to play at home with their families to improve reading skills at school. These include the Ready-To-Play Reading Games Library, the Read with Me! School-To-Home Comprehension Kit and Exploring Fables, Folk Tales & Myths .
Who doesn't like to play games??? My students are no exception to that! My students love games and playing with siblings, parents, and other family members.
My students are fun, energetic children who love to play games and participate in learning.
What better way to reward thier hard work than to assign game night for homework! I can't wait to use these games and materials as on alternative homework assignment. My 22 students are enrolled in our Title One school in the only special education and English as as second language inclusion classroom in the building!
My Project
My students will use these games and materials as alternative homework assignments. The reading, language arts, and writing skills in these games will boost reading comprehension, engage students in turn-taking skills, and give students an opportunity to show off what they are learning at school with their families.
These games and activities that students will use at home will benefit these children in learning life skills with sharing, turn-taking, helping others, all while improving reading and language arts skills for 22 students and their families!
