My Students

Create! That is what I want my students to be able to do freely and whenever they want.

My students are very imaginative group of children.

They attend a very well off school in Southern California where we do not get any extra funding as do many schools in our district do. They love to paint and draw and I believe it is very important for them to have as many opportunities to do it as possible.

My Project

The students will be able to create and use their imaginations on a daily basis. I feel that this free form creativity will open them up for learning in all areas of the class. A digital camera will allow me as a teacher, document all the learning that is going on in our classroom.

Art is a part of the school curriculum that has been cut recently with all of the budgetary restrictions imposed on school districts all over the country.

We don't have as much time to devote to art and any time the kids can paint what and how they want is extremely beneficial to them.
