My students need Basic Picture Math Levels 1,2,3 for non readers, Non Reader Banking, and Survival Signs.

"Fair isn't everybody getting the same thing. Fair is everybody getting what they need in order to be successful!" My kids deserve the materials to make their education fair for them, don't you think?
I have a class of 8 students with various intellectual disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities in grades 9 - 12.
We are from a suburb of Chicago. Many come from low income houses. We spend our whole day together learning health, functional math, sight words, reading, science, and history. I can honestly say my class is the best class in the school! My kids are always wanting to learn, participate, and try as hard as they can! They even all bring their homework back everyday! We love to do hands on projects to help us learn and remember better. Our favorite review game is making our own picture BINGO board to review for tests. We make learning fun but could use some help to improve our math and safety lessons!
With the materials requested we can learn even more in math! Currently I do not have a math book I can use for my students. I make up all of my own materials. Most of my students are non readers so a regular textbook will not work for them. But these materials are made for non readers and could be used by all kids in the classroom! The resources will help them learn math at their own pace and on their own level! It would allow me to make sure they have the math skills they need before they go into the transition program when they graduate. I want them to be as independent as they can be! The safety signs curriculum will help us learn what the signs around us are and how to keep us safe in and out of school! This is very important for my students as they become more independent!
The donations will help improve the way I teach math and make it more meaningful for the students.
These resources would allow my students to complete math more independently using the picture cues. With my students in high school being as independent as possible is important to them! They can learn anything they put their mind to it and deserve the materials to make this learning possible for them!
