Through our choir program students build relationships and have countless experiences that they will cary with them for the rest of their lives. They have numerous opportunities to perform for their community and share the joy of music with people ranging from children to the elderly.
Each of our music students are highly driven toward excellence and work extremely hard to perform at the highest level.
The students love for music can only be matched by their amazing work ethic and desire to be the best they can be. They are very self-motivated and truly a pleasure to teach.
My Project
Our choir students love the stage. We are building one into our classroom for multiple reasons including individualized voice lessons from me that all of the students will benefit from. Twice a month, we will add these voice/solo performance lessons into our yearly plans. We also host our own Idol competition as a fundraiser.
Time under the lights and on stage will build students confidence and ease their nerves about performance opportunities outside the classroom.
Students have also wanted to host karaoke/open mic events in the community. When we complete our full project they will have the tools and experience necessary to learn how to run an event like this on their own.
