My students need a few more super sleuth tools to enable them to perform escape room capers while learning to apply their mathematical problem-solving skills!

My Students
I teach middle-grade mathematics and Algebra I classes in a STEM school that is a combination middle and high school. We are a school of choice that serves students who are interested in the STEM fields: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
My students ask great questions and enjoy activities and projects that allow them to explore in order to find answers to those questions.
They do problem solving in a real-world context, they are very competitive, and they are always open to a good competition.
My Project
I have written a number of escape room activities that are an application of mathematical concepts that my students have learned. This project will allow for an extension of this escape room activity.
My students have fallen in love with the whole concept of escape rooms.
I have incorporated this into my classroom through the use of locked treasure boxes that must be unlocked by completing a number of math activities. Students look for clues in the midst of their math work in order to unlock the box to find treasure or clues to the next lock!
I am requesting invisible ink, padlocks, blank puzzles, and stash cans. Funding of this project would provide additional means by which to reveal codes, hide combinations or keys, and take the escape room theme to the next level for my very competitive students!
