Teaching kindergarten has to be the most interesting, exciting, and rewarding job in the world. My students are so bright and fun this year! We have many challenges and obstacles to face just as each classroom does. Despite these conditions, I hold high expectations for all of my students.
My students love to use the computer.
This new generation is so technology oriented that we must have it to hold their interest. Students today think playing is pushing buttons on a video game or computer. I don't think this is the only play children should be involved in, however I realize it's the reality of "today's kids". With that said, my students love to play games on the computer and I know they would love to print out their work. However, our printer is so old it doesn't even have a USB cord. And, we never have ink because it's too expensive to buy. I can't justify spending my school money on ink when we need the necessities.
My Project
This is where you can help us. We need a new printer and ink so my students can "see" their work after they have accomplished something on the computer. I also love to print things for my students to use during reading centers, math centers, and social studies and science times. Please help us reach our goal.
