Not every child learns the same way. Some students need visuals to make a connection.
My students are special.
They are the special kind of students that need for the classroom to work at a slower pace with allowing them many chances to succeed. They are from the great state of Hawaii. Instead of just hearing and writing what I say, they also need the visual images to make the connections. They are eager to learn and do the activities that I plan for them so I feel they deserve all the resources possible to help them.
My Project
One of our objectives is to learn about the cell. There are so many visual resources that can be displayed for them. Not only will the students use their textbook to draw and label the cell, but they will also be able to take online quizzes about the cell organelles as a class. They will be able to see on the board and be interactive with with the cell to learn the organelles. I am excited about being able to show them the content rather than just telling them, hoping they can visualize.
Not all child learns the same way.
There are some who learn by hearing, by writing it down, and hands on activities. I try to incorporate all of these so that I can reach each child in some way. The visual aspect of learning is what we are missing and need. I want all of my students to be successful.
