Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The purpose of the expo is to bring in people from the community who specialize in various career fields and pair them with girls in the school who have interests/experiences in that area. The pair will be responsible for having a table that represents women in various occupations and with various talents. This is an opportunity to showcase/demonstrate different things women do in their fields.

Our goal for the You Go Girl Expo is to have each participant set up a table that showcases the profession and talents present in the room with takeaways, hands-on activities, and engaging discourse.

We intend to pair 1-2 female students with each guest to help support the tables. This will be an opportunity for those students to network with and receive mentorship from someone in an area of interest.
