Help me give my students some more ukuleles so that I can be one-to-one with them in my classroom to enhance our hands-on learning experience!

My Students

The general music classroom is an exciting space for students to explore their creativity through music-learning. Music education is vital to a young student's success in the general education classroom. Research shows that students who excel in music have higher standardized test scores!

In my classroom students are given a safe space to be creative and explore their musicality through singing, playing instruments, and movement.

My students enjoy learning music through playing a wide variety of instruments. We currently use pianos, ukuleles, and various percussion instruments to teach various aspects of music! My students come from many different backgrounds and cultures, so I have to ensure that my music curriculum covers many different cultures' musical traditions. I currently have the most musical group of students I have ever had and I need your help to to give them the resources they deserve to achieve and learn at a higher level.

My Project

Help! My classroom has grown and some instruments have been added to the graveyard. Since opening our doors GCS of Spartanburg has worked hard to provide instrumental music instruction to each student on the Ukulele.

When students learn to play an instrument they not only learn the grit and skills necessary to learn an instrument, but they also develop the problem solving and literacy skills that help them achieve at higher levels in all subjects.

As you know, instruments don't last forever and it's time to replace some of our worn out ukes!

Your donation will go straight to my classroom and put a ukulele in a student's hands. These ukuleles cost 60 dollars a piece so please consider donating a whole ukulele (60 dollars) or a half uke (30 dollars). Thank you so much for helping me putting a ukulele in each of my students' hands.
