My students need book bins to keep their personal selection of books available to them at all times. This saves time during our reading times and allows them to spend more time reading!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are full of energy and excitement about learning and are super ready to start 4th grade! In my Reading and Writing class I plan on instilling in them a thirst for knowledge in all forms.
"Bookworms aren't people who love to read, they are people who treat books like Treasures(-Unknown)".
My children are bookworms in the making and they are ready to build their ELA skills in a fun and positive learning environment this school year! We're Excited!
My Project
Each student will have a book bin that they use while in the classroom. These book bins will serve as each student's personal selection of books to be read and enjoyed before returning them to the library to share with other students.
Having immediate access to books that are not only interesting and appropriate for them but also books that are chosen by them is critical to growing readers into bookworms with a thirst for knowledge!
Having individual bins will also teach them about organization and responsibility, which are skills that they will need for the rest of their life!
