Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are scientists, technologists, athletes, engineers, and mathematicians (among many other things!). They are super curious and want to make a change in the world.
As part of this, they need to have ample exposure to the skills and materials that students in affluent neighborhoods have.
My students, for the most part, come from a neighborhood in a large city in Arizona. They aim to be scientists, technologists, and problem-solvers, tackling real-world issues. With your help, they will achieve these ambitious goals!
My Project
We are blessed to have 1:1 devices at our school, and we try to utilize them as much as possible in learning environments. Recently, we have realized that a decent number of students do not have Chromebook chargers, and are wasting class time trying to find one to use.
You can't follow along with what the class is doing if your Chromebook is dead.
That's where you come in!
With your generous support, we will be able to purchase some additional chargers (and a few headphones), to ensure that when students are asked to access online math and reading content, a barrier like a broken charger or lack of headphones does not prevent them from learning!
