My students need printer paper to help print our differentiated material that will support the diverse learners in my Global History classroom!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
At the beginning of the year, I tell my students that it is time for us to begin tackling the core subjects in preparation for the Regents by taking comprehensive notes and interpreting all different types of resources that vary from historical maps to documents or historical documents. . Without printer paper, it limits the academic growth of my students with learning disabilities and emotional disturbances!
Concurrently with their emotional disturbances, they are also diagnosed with learning disabilities that require tasks be broken down with visual supports such as color coded graphic organizers as well as maps and other resources.
Every single resources we can get in my classroom to help improve the way my students learn will drastically improve my classroom. My students come to school with limited expectations because they require extensive supports to learn. Without this printer paper, my classroom will not be the inviting classroom my students need to learn.
History in my classroom is so much more than just a textbook and a workbook. On a regular basis we are interpreting documents, with differentiated levels, to bring history to life. With these documents, pictures, graphs as well as maps, my students get to live history through first hand accounts. In order to promote an academic classroom that promotes understanding for all learners. This paper will be used on a daily basis to create content and color rich resources that are differentiated based on the learner. Rather than creating a classroom that promotes frustration, we want to promote learning for all types of learners. With this paper, history can come alive but without this paper, our history will not have any Prints!
