Help me give my students inspiration by using the Cricut maker to create bulletin boards, signs, and inspiration walls to encourage them throughout their days.
I currently teach in a high poverty/trauma-impacted school with students on a Native American reservation. In our district, we have students who are dealing with many issues in their lives and come to school daily looking towards those around them to provide them with not only an education but positive relationships and experiences.
Despite many of the circumstances of our students they can rise above and become resilient with the right support.
When the students are supported they show how themselves to be the amazing individuals that they are. What are they? They are incredibly unique and have very distinctive personalities, needs, and talents expressing themselves through their culture, artistic talents, sports, the way they dress, and the way they speak.
My Project
Daily, when the students enter the hallways of our school, they bring with them the experiences, emotions, and behaviors from environments and situations that can impact the whole child; mind, body, and spirit. We as educators strive to provide a nurturing environment that can not only bring calm to the students' lives but also engage them in forming positive relationships with teachers and their peers.
The ultimate goal is to meet the needs of our students and then, in turn, learning.
Positive environments will inspire our students to be more positive and interact in the learning environments in ways that will build their self-esteem, build their confidence and gain knowledge.
These environments can be created by using the Cricut to make inspiration signs, murals and bulletin boards to enhance the environment of the school.
