This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are always ready to explore new things! A lot of our students do not come from privileged background, some of them have really hard home life. However, they come to school everyday with a big smile on their faces, ready to learn and succeed.

In my art class, they come up with lots of interesting ideas, questions and we always have lively, engaging discussions about various things in the world.

We are always learning new things!

My Project

Students will explore various printmakers and printmaking techniques to enhance their creative skills. We will study, discuss and compare/contrast works of Durer, Hokusai, Warhol and other artists.

The scratch foal printmaking class pack and water soluble ink will help my students to apply knowledge on printmaking they gain to create their own prints, and this process will deepen their understanding and appreciation of printmaking.

Students will be encouraged to choose their own subjects and styles to help finding their artistic identity.

My students have not have much opportunities to explore the world of printmaking, and I believe they will enjoy this new art making process greatly. I am looking forward to seeing what my students will create!
