My Students

My students come from a wide range of socioeconomics in a suburb outside the state capital. Many of my students are transient due to their parents being in and out of jobs.

Even through many of their adversities, they come to class with joy and enthusiasm to learn.

My Project

Yoga is good for the mind, body and soul for anyone, regardless of age.

Simple poses can help young readers focus before and during their reading time increasing comprehension.

The mats and guide will help me teach them all they need to know to give them an increased chance at understanding more when they read. I will be able to start them with simple poses that they can stay in while they read. After teaching them different ones, they can choose poses that are most comfortable for them to focus better. Giving students choice of how and where they read empowers them for success and gives them a lifelong skill.
