Yoga Club for Middle Schooler's Mental and Physical Well Being

My students need yoga mats so that everyone in the class can participate. The number of yoga mats is essential to provide equity for my students.

My Students

My students are at a very special and challenging age - especially when it comes to emotional regulation and self-worth. With a fellow teacher, we have created Club Flow at our school as a place for students to come and learn about breathing, meditation and gentle flow yoga. Students that have participated have told me they feel calmer and at peace after the experience.

My students need a place like Club Flow to take a break from social media, stressors and pressures of adolescence and to learn how to emotionally regulate and to find their center.

My Project

All of our students will be able to participate in our Yoga Club, Club Flow, if we are able to have enough mats for at least 30 students. We have asked for 24 mats for our class and Club.

Club Flow (and this project) will directly support the mental health and physical well being of our students by equipping them with life long skills for emotional regulation and movement through the use of breathing, yoga and meditation.

These mats will be used for Mindful Monday in our classes and during our Club Flow.
