As a second year ELA teacher, it's my goal to provide my students with the necessary materials to enhance their academic abilities and facilitate their comprehension. I teach three ELA classes a day to just under 60 students. I have a diverse group of students from military families that need a welcoming and supportive classroom environment. My students are faced with many challenging circumstances that pertain to military life including family separation, transitions, and other life changing events, which ultimately have an impact on students' academic performance.
My students love learning and flourish when given the opportunity to try new things.
I believe in providing them with a safe place to grow and giving them all the necessary resources to accomplish this!
My Project
Nothing is more important to me than giving my students every opportunity to succeed academically. By giving to our class on this project for Power My Learning Family Engagement Innovators Program, it will allow the parents and myself to work together to support each child.
I believe a child's success in school starts with active engagement at home and support of the skills being taught in the classroom because it truly takes a village.
With this program, I believe my students will be given the best chance to make an impact on their education and provide reliable feedback on their learning.
