My Students
My students strive to be brilliant thinkers! They are constantly begging to learn new information. They are extremely creative and always thinking outside of the box. They are passionate about growing as learners. Each student I have inspires me daily. My students are very diverse. I have students that are brand new to school, students who are gifted and talented, students with learning disabilities, and students with limited English proficiency. Together they make up the best class a teacher could ever imagine. I even have some students that have so much energy, they don't know what to do with it all. They need to be challenged as much as possible at 4 and 5 years old.
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.
My Project
Learning coding in today's world is an important skill. If students can play with and learn about coding by playing in Head Start, then they will have a leg up in the coding world as they get older. Students can use the Botley coding Robot to learn through play and exploration. These Botley coding kits will be a great introduction to coding for students. These kits are something that my students wouldn't be able to afford or ever use without a project like this being funded.
It could open doors for future success for some students in my classroom year after year!
