My students need these 4 Hokki Stools as an option for working!
This project expired on October 21, 2016.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students come from a variety of different backgrounds, but one common thing is they all want to learn in a creative, safe, and engaging environment. They are excited to learn and need the best possible environment to learn.
Just as my students come from a variety of backgrounds, they also each learn and work in a variety of ways.
My goal is to provide them with a classroom environment that gives them different options to work, create, and learn.
Each year a new group of students walks into my classroom ready to learn! However, they all learn and work in different ways. Sitting in a chair completing work or an activity is not always the most comfortable or productive way to work for all students. Some students may work best if standing or sitting on the floor, yet others may need movement while working.
The Hokki stools I am requesting will allow students to move/wobble while working.
The Hokki stools will be used at a table as a work station. This will help those students be more productive in completing work or an activity. The Hokki stools will be part of a flexible seating plan in my classroom where students will choose which type of seat that works best for them to work, create, and learn.
The flexible seating plan will also include other items like stability balls, cushions, lap desks, and standing desks. This project will improve students' learning and engagement by providing another option to work. It will allow them to choose what seating helps them be more productive and engaged therefore improving their learning and life.
