I teach in a full day preschool classroom with 24 children. These children live in a low-income area where many of them come to school without proper shoes, jackets, and food. Regardless of what's happening at home, these children come to school cheerful, eager, and energetic to learn and explore new things. I enjoy working in this area because it is so rewarding.
I believe my students are entitled to have the best education that's desirable for them.
My classroom is like a second home for my students; most of them spend more than eight hours a day with me. They use my classroom as a place for warmth, love, and to escape their troubles. As a teacher, it is very important for me to keep my children inspired, engaged and passionate about learning because these young children are the future.

My Project
We have a few manipulative toys in our preschool classroom that we rotate throughout the year; however, we do not have many STEM learning toys. My students love to build with LEGOs and magnetic tiles. As a teacher, I want to see my students grow; therefore, I need to find more hands-on learning opportunities for them to explore, experiment, and expand their learning. I am requesting the creative magnetic building blocks, the take apart construction engineering learning to build toys. I think the dinosaur take apart construction engineering learning to build toys and the airplane cars STEM learning to build toys will benefit my students to build many stem projects. The materials will allow my students to work together as a team and problem solve together. They will be able to collaborate, discuss, plan, make errors and rethink solutions as they are building the dinosaurs and airplane cars. So please help my students get the materials that they need to learn about STEM. Your donations will help make a change in a child’s life forever.
