My students are young, curious, and full of energy. They thrive with hands on learning in a positive and enriching environment. Every student his their own unique personality and truly make every day an exciting adventure when working with them.
The school I work in is a special school in a low income neighborhood, Many families of my students have limited resources available to them and are unable to donate to the classroom.
Every child in my classroom comes in excited to learn and interact with their peers. While many of my students learn in different ways we individualize our instruction in a variety of ways to ensure that their needs are being met in a way that is engaging and interesting to them.
My Project
Each year we have an end of year fundraising event and invite members of the community to support our school and the students. Money raised will purchase much needed classroom items throughout the school year. We replace consumables and purchase new learning toys for the students each year. The bandanas, bottle openers and decor will go towards hosting a western themed outreach evening for the community to gain support for our program.
We expect over 200 people at this event and the impact for our students will be significant.
We will celebrate with a fun event for both our special needs students and adults.
