Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am an intervention specialist and work with the lowest performing students; those students who just need a little extra push and one-on-one attention and/or small group instruction.
My students are the students who some think they need special education but in reality, need someone who can individualize their learning.
In most cases, I am able to meet the students where they are in their learning and take them to where they need to be and beyond!
My Project
During each individualized lesson, we take time to learn how letters and words work. We use magnetic letters. The students will be able to more easily make discoveries on their own with their own magnetic letters at home.
Learning to write is as important as learning to read and the students will be able to practice letter formation, etc.
on the white boards.
Reading nonfiction text grabs students' interests and generates conversation and wonder, especially in those harder to reach students.
By donating to my project, you will help me better teach my students virtually!
