Help me give my students on the yearbook staff a copy of the yearbook that they helped to create for the school. This would be an awesome surprise and reward for their hard work and dedication.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds, with 68% of the students being Hispanic, with non-English speaking families. Many of the students are bilingual, especially if they have been enrolled in school in the US since PreK. I do have students that are new to the country and have no English. I work in a Title I school, where we offer 100% free breakfast and lunch daily to our students. I also apply for the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable grant each year so that the students will receive a healthy snack 3-4 days a week. Many of the students receive food backpacks on Friday so they have food for the weekend.
The students love coming to school and are eager to learn.
The students are well behaved and thrive in our classroom community. They are supportive of each other in the classroom and on the playground. The parents are supportive and want to learn new ways to be engaged and involved with their child's education.
My Project
As we began working on the yearbook, six out of seven students explained that they would be unable to purchase a yearbook. Most students do not get to purchase a yearbook until their fifth grade year due to a lack of financial resources at home. One student saves his birthday and Christmas money to purchase a yearbook.
The yearbook would be a reward for their hard work and dedication to the school.
Students would have a concrete example of the yearbook that they helped to design and create. As these students move on to middle and high school they will have a piece of evidence to show their talents and experience as a yearbook staff creator and editor.
Giving the students a copy of the yearbook they created, will teach them that hard work and dedication is rewarded, even when you don't expect it. I would love for each of them to possess a yearbook that is full of learning and memories as a member of the yearbook staff.
