My Students

Students at my school are a caring, creative, and unique bunch. They are full of personality and are not afraid to let their passions shine, no matter how obscure. Indeed, one of our more popular clubs is String Band. The sounds of traditional folk music can be heard throughout the halls, and members of the school's folk dancing club can be seen busting a move to the tunes.

Our school places heavy emphasis on 5 core values or the 5 Rs: responsibility, respect, reach, relationship, and resilience.

Our students strive each and every day to embody those values and often exceed expectations. The resiliency they have all shown lately in light of the challenges presented to them throughout the pandemic has been especially inspiring to see.

My Project

Currently, our yearbook staff has one camera to call its own. This must be shared between our staff which makes capturing memories of multiple events on the same day difficult.

Having access to even one additional camera and bag will help ensure the yearbook staff is always able to take photos of school events.

The pictures taken with the donated camera will help serve students long after they have graduated high school. The work done by our yearbook staff benefits the entire school as they document and preserve the memories that last for a lifetime.
