My Students
My students are resilient! They come to class eager and excited to learn new things every day.
Although they may not have the ideal living environment at home and in their community due to devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey, they continue to advance with a positive attitude and smiles on their faces.
They have a self-motivating drive to be better than their circumstances. They have a love for journalism and a passion for success. I teach them journalism and, in return, they teach me strength.
My Project
I need your help to move forward and these resources will be a tremendous start. Having the necessary technology paired with the essential tools for capturing and designing a school yearbook will allow the students to have everlasting memories of their middle school years. Having digital camera's and laptops will open avenues for my students to be successful in having sharp pictures and access to editing programs to create the yearbook. The yearbook staff is motivated to put the devastating effects of the hurricane behind them and began capturing the rebuild and growth of the school and the many memories created with their peers and teachers.
