Year-Round Classroom Supplies for My Active Learners
Help me give my students adequate year-round classroom materials, language arts, math and science literacy, and basic school supplies like pencil, ink and calculators to help them learn in multiple creative ways.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are exposed to several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning knowing that in the future I will be needing their art skills, problem-solving skills, engineering and math skills, and science and discovery skills that will help our community combat any challenges.
My students need sticky notes, dry erase markers, pencils, and other basic classroom materials for the second quarter of the school year.
They like to move, they love to read and love lots of positive attention. Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. These things may prevent them from getting ahead early in life and may not provide them with the life experiences many of us see as "typical."
From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience in school.
My Project
Proper school supplies play a large part in the educational success of every students in any nation. Having the right school supplies help children to learn in multiple ways. Choosing the right school supplies or educational supplies is an important step in helping each student achieve the goals for the school year. Adequate supplies in the classroom can make all the difference in how lectures, presentations or teaching appear and inspire our students.
Teaching math, science, reading and writing would be nearly too challenging and impossible without adequate classroom supplies because students would have no way to practice their skills.
Knowledge cannot be simply transferred by simply talking, but the development of skills requires practice. Having books, papers, and pencils, manipulative, colored visual aides give children a way to take what they've learn and apply it to an actually activity.
Classroom supplies give students various ways visualizing what they're learning.Different students have different learning styles, so it's important to teach students in as many ways as possible. A student struggling with multiplication might suddenly "get it" when it's explained through the use of physical objects and visual aides.Let us help my active learners achieve their maximum potentials . We can and we will.
