Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a teacher of simultaneous bilingual students. My students are from culturally diverse backgrounds. Some are of Hispanic origin, and others are from homes that value bilingual education.
My students are in a Dual Language program where one of their classes is Science in Spanish so that they can acquire language-related the amazing Science world.
However, some of these fantastic students haven't had enough opportunities to develop their scientific brains due to the lack of resources.
I am asking the community for their support to donate so I can get materials that will enrich students' hands-on Science projects that they can share and use to learn in class. Your support will make students' learning experiences meaningful and life-learning lasting. They would appreciate your help.
My Project
Some of the materials in our lab are consumables and so we need to replace them in order to keep doing experiments. Also, some of the materials that we already have are not enough for all students to use.
The idea is that students can work in smaller groups, so they can have easy access to the materials such as motors, multimeters, copper foil tape etc.
At the same time I would like that my students have easy access to this materials every time that we are going to use them, that is why we would like to have those two cabinets that at the same time will help us to organize and to maintain our materials in good condition.
