Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I want all my students to grow as writers by the end of the school year. Students work hard drafting and editing their papers throughout a unit. It's important that my students have all the tools we adults use while completing the writing process.
I teach at an elementary school where diversity rates high.
After spending my first year teaching at a Title 1 school, I became motivated to provide my students with all necessary learning tools. My school is a very community driven elementary. Our districts motto is "College and Career Ready."

My students need a writing center with pens, pencils, and construction paper that allows them to have all the necessary tools as a writer. My students need a resourceful center that invites them to write. My students will have an organized writing center with pens, markers, pencils, erasers, and other related materials, to use through your the writing process. I want to set up the material in a organized manner that allows them to quickly move from one step to another while working on their writing.
I have recently spent a week attending a writing workshop to advance my knowledge in teaching writing.
I believe I can grow all my students as writers this year, and I want them to feel supported throughout the process.
