I teach at a Title I school in East San Jose. A majority of my students are first-generation Americans with hardworking immigrant parents. Seventy percent of the students at my school are receiving free or reduced-priced lunch.
I teach a wonderful group of Kindergarten students.
My students are hard working and enthusiastic learners. They are easily motivated and enjoy attending school every day. They are always excited to try and learn new concepts. My students inspire me every day to be a better teacher.
Writing and forming letters and numbers are always problematic for my Kindergarten students because they lack the fine motor skills to perform these tasks. As a result, many my students end up frustrated and in tears. I am requesting for letter and number printing practice books to help students form letters and numbers correctly. Students will enjoy using these books because they can easily erase mistakes. With paper and pencil, when students make a mistake it takes them a long time to erase or they tend to rip their paper. My students will enjoy using these books to help them printing letters and numbers.
