This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are good scholars that come from a low socio-economic community which was recently hit by Hurricane Harvey. Many of my students were displaced when Harvey devastated and flooded their community. Even now they are still in need of essential items. Also, the school they attend is a Title I school where the teachers need help in getting supplies and resources for their classrooms. My students are still in the process of recovering after Hurricane Harvey. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
My Project
The writing resources, such as, the gel pens, stationary and markers will help to make the writing workshop more engaging and it will also add motivation for my scholars. With the writing folders, students can actually visualize the writing process daily and become more engaged and organized writers. In addition, the edit and revision books will help improve students’ success in writing. Also, I’m working on a computer work station for our online reading program, so that is why we need the headphones. Lastly, by donating to this project will help increase students’ academic achievement with sweet (Jolly Ranchers) success.
