Our school is located in a suburban community. Our school has a high mobility rate from the apartments that are located nearby. Our campus has a diverse range of students who are economically disadvantaged, gifted and talented, and special ed.
My class this year is exceptionally bright and needs classroom books that they enjoy.
I have recently moved grade levels and need books that are on their level that they would enjoy. They would love to experience digital learning with physical pieces that bring the learning to life.
My Project
Students love novel and colorful items in the classroom. It's plain fun. These colorful pens will be a high motivator for students to take extra pride and care with their assignments. These pens will add more creativity and color to our classroom. This would help with many subjects: poetry, science, financial literacy, social studies, etc. In our class, we talk about presenting information to whomever may be reading or seeing your work. The work can be taken home to connect and share information with families to increase parent engagement. Taking that extra time to add care to the details with a hint of color, a special font or an interesting picture to highlight information, helps students put their best foot forward in all that they do.
This concept is setting the foundation for presentation skills later on in life and future careers.
Putting care and attention to aesthetics and details can make any project shine. As the students prepare for jobs like graphic designer or needing to make presentation for any sort of business meeting, I want them to be mindful of how they express information and themselves. Something as simple as colored pens can provide that, especially at a young age. Thank you in advance for helping these students add more skill sets to their tool box and more colors to their pencil box.
